Field

Hartry Field is a
University Professor and a Silver Professor of Philosophy at New York
University. Dr. Field's areas of expertise include metaphysics, philosophy of
mathematics and philosophy of logic. Dr. Field is the author of Saving Truth from
Paradox; Truth and the Absence of Fact; Realism, Mathematics and Modality; and
Science Without Numbers, which won the Lakatos Prize.
Dr. Field has received fellowships from the National Science Foundation, the
National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Guggenheim Foundation.
