QUADRATIC NUMBER FIELDS

Course description: We will study Gauss’description of the class group of a quadratic number field in terms of quadratic forms in 2 variables modulo the action of SL(2.Z). We will put an emphasis on the metrized line bundles aspect of this theory that has emerged recently.
