ADMISSIONS
Application packages for admission
and financial
assistance are available directly from the
Admissions
Office at the Graduate Center.
In addition to meeting the general University requirements,
applicants are expected to present a substantial program
of elective courses beyond calculus and must satisfy the
Admissions Committee on the basis of their records in mathematics
courses and letters of recommendation from instructors familiar
with their work that they show promise of ability to complete
the requirements for the Ph.D.
Deadlines: Applications for fall admission must be received by April 15th. In order to be considered for the full range of possible financial aid, applications should be complete by Feb. 1st.
International Students: Please contact the Graduate
Center's Office
of International Students for information about F-1
student and J-1 Exchange Visitor status (student category)
and other immigration issues.
