Film Series - Spring 2001

New York Love Stories

Love comes in many varieties, shapes, sizes, styles, and forms. This film series is about some of them... NYC Skyline

***** This film series is brought to you by the CUNY Ph.D. Program in Mathematics *****

All screenings will be held at the Martin E. Segal Theatre on the first floor of the CUNY Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Avenue (between 34th- 35th Streets), NYC.

There are eight films in this series. They will be shown in chronological order based on the historical time in which each film is set. The days on which the films will be shown vary - - either a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evening - - to permit a larger segment of the GC community to attend. A film will be shown every other week during the spring 2001 semester, from early February through the middle of May. [There is an exception to this rule, however, due to scheduling difficulties: film #6 will be shown three weeks after film #5, and consequently only one week prior to film #7.]

The starting time for every show is 6pm. The running time of each film is indicated in the table below following the year in which the film was released.
